This page provides up-to-date information on events at OPEN AIR PARK DÜSSELDORF and any potential impact on the surrounding area.

Before each event, relevant information regarding event times, traffic arrangements, arrival and departure procedures, and any potential restrictions will be published here. The aim is to provide timely and transparent information on all key arrangements.

Transport Plan

 

We are doing everything we can to minimise the impact on traffic. 

Here are the measures we are taking:

Traffic management

Guests’ arrival and departure will be actively managed via our mobility platform, “Event Mobility”, in order to minimise disruption to neighbouring residential areas. There will also be a section on Event Mobility providing comprehensive information for local residents.

Parking

Parking on the event site is only permitted with a pre-booked parking ticket. Guests will be informed in advance that parking in residential areas is strictly prohibited.

Restricted areas

Certain residential areas are protected from unauthorised parking by barriers and the deployment of security staff. Authorised residents may, of course, continue to drive into these areas. The necessary authorisations and information will be sent to the residents concerned.

Note

The measures will be adjusted depending on the size of the event:

Level 1: Pitbull, OneRepublic. This level includes measures in areas C, E, F, G and H (see diagram).

Level 2: System Of A Down. This level includes measures in zones A to H (see diagram).

Noise protection

Protecting local residents from noise is particularly important to us. We therefore implement a wide range of measures to minimise noise pollution:

events

A maximum of six events take place each year, which are classified as ‘rare events’ in accordance with the North Rhine-Westphalia Leisure Noise Ordinance. All legally stipulated emission limit values are complied with.

Event
times

Our events usually finish between 10 pm and 11 pm. We will provide detailed timetables in good time before the event.

Use of modern technology

Our event organisers use state-of-the-art sound systems to precisely control sound propagation and employ technical measures to reduce bass and low-frequency sounds in order to minimise disruption to neighbouring residential areas.

Continuous monitoring

During the events, noise levels are measured and recorded by independent experts.

There will be event-specific plans in each case, which will also take into account travel to and from the event and ensure that all permitted limits are adhered to.
