Traffic concept & noise protection

Dear residents of the OPEN AIR PARK DÜSSELDORF,

We are proud to open the OPEN AIR PARK DÜSSELDORF as an important event location for the city of Düsseldorf in your neighborhood. We have set up this section of the website to provide you with transparent and comprehensive information about our events and the potential impact on your everyday life.

We will inform you in good time before each event about the type of event, timetables and possible disruptions. It goes without saying that our top priority is to minimize the impact on your everyday life.

You can contact us at any time via our e-mail address and our info phone. We look forward to exchanging ideas with you!

Traffic Concept

We are doing everything we can to minimize the traffic impact for you.

Here are our measures:

Traffic management

The arrival and departure of guests will be actively managed via our “Event Mobility” mobility platform and the specially set up WhatsApp channel in order to avoid disruptions in neighboring residential areas. There will also be a section in Event Mobility with comprehensive information for local residents.

Parking

Parking on the event grounds is only possible with a pre-booked parking ticket. Guests will be informed in advance that parking in residential areas is strictly prohibited.

Restricted areas

Certain residential areas are protected from unauthorized parking by barriers and the deployment of security personnel. Authorized residents can of course continue to drive in these areas. The necessary authorizations and information will be sent to the residents concerned.

Note

The measures are adapted depending on the size of the event:

Level 1: Smaller events with up to 30,000 guests. This level includes measures in areas C, E, F, G and H (see illustration).

Level 2: Large events with over 30,000 guests. This level includes measures in areas A to H (see illustration).

Noise Protection

Protecting local residents from noise is particularly important to us. We therefore take comprehensive measures to minimize noise emissions:

NUMBER OF EVENTS

A maximum of six events per year take place, which are considered “rare events” according to the NRW leisure noise decree. All legally stipulated immission guide values are complied with.

EVENT TIMES

Our events usually end between 10 pm and 11 pm. You will be informed of the detailed timetable in good time before the event.

USE OF MODERN
TECHNOLOGY

Our event organisers use state-of-the-art sound systems to control sound propagation in a targeted manner and rely on technical means to reduce bass and low-frequency sounds in order to protect adjacent residential areas.

CONTINOUS
MONITORING

During the events, noise levels are measured and documented by independent experts.

There will be event-specific concepts in which the arrival and departure traffic is also taken into account and all permitted limit values are adhered to.
